Auburn Parks and Recreation to host Summer Hiring Day Feb.28

AUBURN, Ala. — The City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department will host a Summer Hiring Day on Saturday, Feb. 28, inviting individuals to explore seasonal employment opportunities and join the City’s summer team.

The event offers job seekers the chance to learn about available positions, meet hiring supervisors and participate in on-site interviews. Seasonal employment with Auburn Parks and Recreation provides a meaningful way to serve the community, develop leadership skills and gain valuable work experience.

  • Location: Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center, 2000 Grove Hill Road, Suite 200

Opportunities Available

The City is seeking motivated and responsible individuals to fill the following roles:

  • Camp counselors: Assist with activities and programming for four summer day camps — Camp Atlas, Camp Kaleidoscope, Camp Quest and Camp Voyager.
  • Lifeguards: Ensure safety and provide a great experience at Samford Pool and Lake Wilmore Park Pool.
  • Assistant pool managers: Support leadership and daily operations at Auburn’s aquatic facilities.

What to Expect

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in open interviews for available positions.
  • Meet with hiring supervisors to learn about job responsibilities and expectations.
  • Learn about next steps in the hiring process, including background checks, drug screenings and required certifications.
